Versarien (LON:VRS) Granted North American Patent for High Quality Graphene Production Process

logoVersarien (LON:VRS) a proprietary tech company has announced that it has been granted US patent protection (No. 14/002399 (2014/0044968) for its very own graphene production process. That patent is in partnership with the University of Ulster. This is in addition to its existing patent protection for the volume graphene platelet production process that is held in Europe.  The acquisition of the North American patent is in line with Versarien’s opinion on North America becoming a key graphene marketplace.

The company reports that that their proprietary method of graphene production, has multiple advantages over the standard graphene production methods. Versarien claims that their method could help them to attain the sought after graphene goal, to allow accelerated commercialization of products containing graphene.

“We are delighted to have secured a patent in the largest of the global markets which will allow us to accelerate the development of commercial applications for graphene and graphene products,” said chief executive Neill Ricketts.

“Following the granting of the patent we intend to increase our marketing activities in the US and progress discussions with potential clients there.”

Versarien’s has a subsidiary graphene company called  2D-Tech. 2D-Tech is currently working with numerous North American clients which are involved in military, medical and consumer products. These clients specifically require procurement of high quality and economical graphene.

Versarien has been added to the list of graphene companies and graphene stocks.
